About This Position

Tucker Energy Services Guyana Inc. (TESGI) is seeking a high-potential Wireline Service Engineer Trainee – Cased Hole to join their world-class operations team. This is a developmental role designed for individuals eager to build a technical career in a fast-paced, safety-critical, and performance-driven environment. The trainee will support wireline operations including job preparation, rig-up/rig-down, equipment maintenance, and cased-hole interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support wireline job preparation and load-out activities, ensuring all tools, equipment, and inventory are ready and compliant with internal procedures
  • Assist with rig-up and rig-down of wireline and pressure-control systems, maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Participate in servicing, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of electric-line tools, setting tools, perforating equipment, pressure-control equipment, and related systems
  • Prepare and assemble cable heads, chemical cutters, sinker bars, and associated tool strings as instructed, ensuring accuracy and procedural compliance
  • Support the safe preparation and priming of perforating guns, cutters, dump bailers, and other explosive-related systems in accordance with company policies
  • Operate electric wireline winches under supervision and execute cased-hole interventions following job design parameters and engineering guidance
  • Monitor and verify equipment fluid levels, housekeeping standards, and overall equipment readiness, reporting issues promptly to engineering or maintenance teams
  • Perform documentation tasks where required and execute additional operational duties to ensure safe, timely, and efficient completion of Electricline services
  • Perform any other related duties required by management to ensure the successful running of TESGI Operations

Required Skills

Knowledge of wireline and pressure-control systemsAbility to service, troubleshoot, and maintain electric-line tools and perforating equipmentFamiliarity with explosive-related systems and safety protocolsAbility to operate electric wireline winchesEquipment readiness monitoring and reportingDocumentation and record-keepingAdherence to safety, quality, and operational standards

Experience Required

At least one year of experience in a working environment, preferably the energy sector

Education Required

BSc. in Engineering or any other related discipline; Technical Certificate recommended (EEET, MET, Process Plant, etc.)
