About This Position
MODEC, a leading Japanese Oil & Gas company specializing in floating offshore solutions, is seeking a Cost Control Lead to join their Finance department in Georgetown, Guyana. The role involves preparing managerial cost reports, developing year-end forecasts, and continuously improving cost control processes. The position is a regular, full-time role requiring strong financial and analytical expertise in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver managerial cost reports and analytical comments including Monthly Cost Report Package, Business Review Meeting materials, Cost reports/presentations for shareholders, and Budget Review materials
- Develop monthly breakdown year-end forecasts using actual vs. budget analysis, historical trends, SAP committed balances, and intercompany contract transactions
- Continuously improve cost control processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Consolidate and ensure timely and accurate cost data and analysis, provide emergency information when needed
- Handle consolidated managerial reporting demands and present in internal/external meetings on demand
