About This Position

The Junior Accountant supports the accounting department by ensuring accurate financial processing and maintaining proper documentation. The role involves assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, payroll-related entries, and reporting activities. The position falls under the Asset-Based Non-Drilling business line and is offered on a permanent contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, customer invoices, payments, and credit notes
  • Handle customer/vendor inquiries and maintain strong communication with stakeholders
  • Guarantee accurate and timely data input into accounting systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Ensure proper coding of accounts, job numbers, and cost allocations for correct bookkeeping
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals
  • Prepare monthly unbilled reports for accrual purposes
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
  • Support in generating periodic internal reports and data analyses
  • Prepare VAT, Withholding Tax, Premium Tax, and other statutory filings as required
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and supporting schedules
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and internal policies
  • Record payroll-related entries, including salaries, benefits, allowances, deductions, and employer contributions
  • Assist with monthly payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll items are booked on time
  • Support Payroll and ensure proper posting in financial systems
  • Verify accuracy of payroll supporting documents and liaise with HR/Payroll for discrepancies
  • Assist with payroll-related statutory filings (e.g., payroll taxes, withholdings)
  • Compile and archive financial documentation (paper and digital)
  • Assist in preparing work orders, estimates, and invoice support documents
  • Prepare controls to ensure accounting accuracy and compliance
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the finance function
